Cookies

12Axes sets no advertising or social media cookies. Two third-party analytics services do set cookies, so that one visit can be told apart from another and we can see which pages and which test versions are used:

Neither service receives your answers or your result: the score code in a result link is removed before a page view is recorded, and the profile card on the result page is masked in Clarity recordings. You can block both with your browser's tracking protection or an extension — the test works without them.

What we do store, and why

The test uses your browser's local storage, which is a small amount of space a site can use on your own device. We use it for two things:

Local storage is not a cookie. It is not attached to your requests to our server, and it is not visible to us. It stays in the browser you used, on that device, until you clear it.

Shared result links

A shared result link carries your twelve scores in the URL itself, not in a cookie, so anyone who opens it can see the scores it contains. The Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.

Payment pages

When the paid checkout goes live it will be handled by Waffo, our payment provider. Payment providers typically need their own cookies to process a payment securely. Those cookies would be set by Waffo in its checkout, under its own cookie and privacy policies, not by 12Axes.

Managing what is stored

You can clear local storage at any time through your browser's settings for this site (“clear site data” or similar). The test will still work afterwards — you will simply lose any saved progress and your saved result.
